Kim Smith lives in Raymond, Mississippi, with her husband and two boys, ages nine and thirteen. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University and served the American Lung Association of Mississippi for seven years as public relations director. She is currently a "household CEO" and homeschool teacher. The Smith family has an energetic and entertaining boykin spaniel named Cappie and a rescue cat named Dottie. Kim is the founder of the Wink’s Wish project and Wink’s mom.
Christi Gardner is Kim’s sister. She lives in Brandon, Mississippi, with her husband and eleven-year-old daughter who is our most enthusiastic Wink’s Wish project advisor. Christi owns a handmade jewelry business where she design and create beautiful jewelry to sell to boutiques and gift shops throughout the United States. The Gardner family has lovingly welcomed several rescue pets into their family. Christi is the encourager, social media guru, and biggest cheerleader for the Wink’s Wish project … and Wink’s aunt.
Jacki Armstrong is the founder of Noah’s Animal Refuge Centre in Wilmer, Alabama, and Wink’s best friend. Noah's closed its doors in February of 2016 after successfully and lovingly providing a home-like environment and forever families to over 100 homeless animals. Jacki has a beautiful heart for animals and plans to continue her life-saving work in the future. She currently operates CJ's Grocery with her son in Wilmer, Alabama.
Many thanks to Dustin Smith, Christi Gardner, Julie Clark, Jean Clark, Bill Clark, Abby Barber, Ann Sommers, Chad Tyler, Tammy Angelo, and Jacki Armstrong for their help, encouragement, and for loving Wink.
